hi vicki --

it's me rigby.  remember me.  first of all let's get one thing straight.
with my english/irish background i do know the proper use of the english
language.  however, my legs are still too short to reach both the shift key
and the rest of the keyboard so we'll just have to make do without the shift
key.  i think my owner -- and i use the term loosely as it's debatable who
owns who around here so I'll just refer to him as kyle -- called you that he
and his daughter jodie picked me up at the airport and that i arrived
safely.  boy was that flight scary.  took me a couple of days to get over
that.  then we had all this clean up from hurricane ike with chain saws and
big debris removal equipment which was also kind of unnerving.  things have
quieted down now and I'm adapting nicely.

the first thing kyle and i did was to select a name.  we got on the internet
and looked up 'rigby'.  we found out that it's olde english for valley of
the ruler which was adapted from old norse rigg who was the king of humanity
and then to mean someone who lived on the ridge like a king or ruler.  i
thought anything to do with ruler or king was appropriate so we kept the
name you gave me.

i've attached a couple of photos of me at 16 weeks.  you may not recognize
me as most of the black has turned to brown.  even the black spot on my neck
is starting to turn brown.  i'm trying to determine if i have a smooth or
broken coat.  can you tell from the photos.  i think kyle told you he was a
big university of texas football fan.  although i prefer animal planet, i
have to indulge him so i bought a longhorn jersey.  i have also attached
photos of us watching one of ut's games.  i have my new jersey on.

i've completed all my vet visits.  my new vet says it's rare that he sees a
puppy from a breeder that doesn't have parasites and that speaks well of
your program.  due to the vet's comments and your working with kyle to keep
me an extra two weeks during and after hurricane ike, kyle says you can use
him as reference if needed.

take care.

your friend,

Hi Vicki:
Here are some pictures of Baby Barkley when
he is three and four months old. He is so
precious. Ron and I love him more and more
every day.
I really want to thank you so much for Barkley,
he is a blessing. Thank you for all your tender
loving care of your jacks. It really shows in
Barkley. My other Jack Russell, Pebbles, really
loves him. So did my Westie, Scottie. We just
had to put our beloved westie down on Oct.
24th due to all his vital organs shutting down.
He was 14 and we truly loved him and miss
him terribly. Barkley truly became our blessing
from heaven when we had to put our Scottie
down. Even though it's been tough, Barkley is
helping us cope. He keeps us going. Ron and I
call him our little Angel sent by God.
Thanks again for everything.
Sincerely,
Jeannie and Ron David
Hi Vicki!

Hope all is well with you and your family.  Sorry I have not emailed you
for awhile.  I attached a picture of Bendie and our little Cameron. I
think Bendie looks mostly like her Daddy.  Cam and her are BEST
Friends!  Bendie is so good with Cam.  They both wrestle on the floor
and Cameron tries to share his Cheerios and teething biscuits with
her!  Jesse and I think Cameron's' first word is going to be Dog-Dog.
He is so close... He reaches for her and goes "dd......."

Hope you have a great holiday season!

Blessings,
The Southards
Hello Vicki,

I am sending a few pics of Olive (aka Becka) from Bailey and Charlie's last
litter.

She is so sweet, gentle, cuddly and fun. We couldn't expect a better
temperament. When I go hiking with her, she stays really close to me and
runs towards people to get petted and of course she gets lots of attention.

She is developing into a wonderful pet and I thought that I would let you
know how much we love her and how cute she looks. She is more furry than I
thought she would be and is getting more all the time, I love it!

Thanks again for letting me have her, I know that you were incline to keep
her, but I can promise you that she is having a wonderful life here in
Boulder, full of love, regular hikes, socialization with other dogs. She has
a buddy across the street, another JRT with whom she plays almost everyday.

Cheers,

Brigitte

Hi, Vicki :

Wow, it’s been a long time! Tirna’s 6 months old now and doing absolutely wonderful! She’s had all of
her shots (obviously) and we had her spayed and micro-chipped on September 5th. She weighed 11
lbs at that time - she’s getting big! The first couple weeks of August I took a trip out to visit my dad in
Massachusetts and took her with me. She did so many silly things, it’s too bad that I didn’t get a whole
lot of pictures. Tirna LOVED picking up my dad’s dogs’ bones (they’re BIG bones, too - his two dogs
are half Rottweiler and half Golden Retriever). They were very tolerant of her crazy puppy nature most of
the time though they did correct her properly a few times which was nice. They were teaching her and
they are wonderful dogs to learn from.

She has gotten so confident at work and she ADORES other dogs. Tirna plays with anyone and
everyone. She’s turned into a bit of a ball maniac - once you break out the ball, ALL she wants to do is
play fetch. Tirna’s also a really big swimmer now as well, it’s really funny to watch because she’ll persist
on fetching the toys out of the pool even when I know she’s cold. All in all, though, she’s healthy as a
racehorse! Oh and she’s been getting what my boss and I call ‘big girl days’ where I check her into
daycare for a full day on Thursdays.

But I have some very exciting news for you! Tirna has met her big sister Spanky. I’m not sure if you
remember Spanky in particular or not but Spanky was from the Norman and Holly litter of 2006, I
believe. The funny thing is, I knew Spanky before I ever knew about you and Colorado Jacks - she was
one of the reasons why I wanted a Jack Russell. They’re getting along pretty nicely. The two of them
started playing together a little relatively recently. Not a lot of playing but they’re working up to it - there
always seems to be a puppy in group that wants to play with Tirna and she's always happy to oblige.

My cats still don’t really like her all that much but I think it has to do with her manners - she wants to play
with them the way she plays with other dogs and they don’t like that. I’ve started working with her to
teach her how far she is allowed to go with them and to not overreact every time one of them is in the
room. We’re making progress, it’s slow going but she’ll get there. She’s basically house-trained by now
as well and she still sleeps in her crate every night. She no longer gets wet food mixed in with her dinner
and she’s eating just fine. Little Tirna is growing up!

Thanks again for my baby girl! I’ve attached a couple of recent pictures for you so you can see how she’
s growing. She also seems to be developing a little bit of a light broken coat, I’ll attach a slightly older
photo and a more recent one so you can compare but I find her little fuzzy beard to be quite cute!

Sincerely,
Meagan and Tirna
from Parker, CO

(PS; Feel free to post this on your testimonial page if you'd like. Also, I was thinking of possibly
adopting a brother for Tirna - I think it would do her a world of good. So I was wondering if maybe I could
list you as a reference on the adoption application? I know we haven’t met in person but I thought I’d ask
since you trusted me enough to sell me one of your babies. Let me know. Thanks!)

HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY
THANKSGIVING!!!

I went to see the Vet last night and I
weighed in at 4.3 pounds.  I also got
some shots and they made my leg and
shoulder sore this morning.  But
otherwise I am very happy and doing so
well with potty training.  My mommy
gives me treats and and loves me
soooooo much.  I still love my fuzzy pink
rabbit that made the trip to Virginia with
me.  It reminds me of my first mommy
that I loved and who found this good
home for me.  Will send more pics as I
grow.

Hugs and Kisses,

June Bug
